Category One - Piano Solo Grades Recital Sections
Each competitor must perform at least two contrasting pieces (different periods) within the time limit indicated.
These Pieces MUST be from the current AMEB syllabus except Novice seciton.
Open section must be pieces chosen BEYOND AMEB grade 8 standards but may not
be from the AMEB diploma syllabus. Pieces chosen could be used in another
category.
Category Two - Piano Classical Sonata Sections
One movement of a classical sonatina or Sonata required for each section within the time limit indicated.
(Must be from the Classical period). Pieces chosen could be used in another
category.
Category Three - Piano Solo Sections
One own choice piece
not own composition) within the time limit indicated. All pieces chosen could
be the same from another item or section.
Category Six - Piano Solo Age Group Recital Sections
Each competitor must perform at least 2 contrasting pieces within the time
limit indicated. All pieces chosen could be the same from another item. All
pieces must be performed fro memory!!!
